ORBIT, a Social Developmental Organization, established at Bhalki Taluk in Bidar District, is registered under Trust Act of India in 1993. Presently it has administrative office at Humnabad Taluk in Bidar District in Karnataka. Its developmental activities are limited to Bidar and Kalaburagi districts of North Karnataka.
History
From the year 1982, various developmental activities were carried out by Diocese of Mangalore in Bidar District, with the pioneering efforts of Rev. Robert Miranda and a systematic approach to social developmental work was adopted since the year 1993, with the foundation of ORBIT (Organization of Bidar Integral Transformation) and Human Resource Development Centre registered under Indian Trust Act. with Rt. Rev. Aloysius Paul D’ Souza, Bishop of Mangalore as its Founder President.
